It has been a privileged to be a general surgeon for the last 25 years and a bariatric surgeon for the past seven years. For the last five years I have been doing exclusively bariatric surgery. At present I perform about 250 bariatric operations per year and have completed a total of over 1,500 bariatric operations. After graduating from University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1980, I completed my general surgery residency in 1985 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. I am board certified by the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
